Civil Memory exists to preserve testimony, rights, and public-interest records. Misuse of that work harms people and institutions of accountability.

Prohibited Uses
Do not use Civil Memory for illegal activity, exploitation, threats, fraud, harassment, doxxing, hate, abuse, or activity that violates rights or safety.
Do not scrape, mirror, train models on, bulk copy, or commercialize sensitive archives without written permission.
Do not attempt credential attacks, rate-limit bypass, unauthorized testing, vulnerability exploitation, malware, destructive automation, or access to systems you do not control.
Do not misuse health, research, disability, legal, educational, civil-rights, or sensitive archive workflows.
Responsible Security Research
Good-faith security reports are welcome at [email protected]. Do not access, alter, destroy, disclose, exfiltrate, or persist in data or systems that are not yours.
Do not run destructive scans, social engineering, physical attacks, denial-of-service, or tests that degrade service without written permission.
